Ramneek is the Special Events Manager at the Indo-American Arts Council, hails from the Indian state of Punjab, and grew up in the Le Corbusier-designed town of Chandigarh. She started her undergraduate studies at Miranda House, University of Delhi; and went on to finish her Masters in Women Studies and Development.

She has interned with the United Nations Development Programme in Bangkok, and subsequently worked as Research Associate with the Gender Unit at the Institute of Development and Communication, Chandigarh.

Ramneek migrated to the USA in early 2013, and lives in Manhattan. She draws a parallel in her move from academia to the creative world and her move from India to the USA, and describes both as a 'challenge and an opportunity'.
