 Rashi Verma is a Kathak dancer and choreographer. Rashi has received training in Lucknow gharana Kathak from Guru Janaki Patrik, disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj, and has attended several workshops with Pt Birju Maharaj and Padmashree Kumudini Lakhia. Rashi has performed with The Kathak Ensemble & Friends in several venues including the 3rd International Kathak Festival at Chicago, NY Public Library of the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center and Brooklyn Museum. Born and raised in India, she learnt Bharat Natyam under Guru Gita Kasturi and Drama with Mrs. Hima Devi. Rashi has a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia and is a CFA charterholder. Rashi has held leadership positions in finance and insurance, and is currently a Senior Director at American International Group.
