David Freeman Playwright, A first class ssan David Freeman's Jesse and the Bandit Queen
played two hundred performances at The Public Theatre in 1975-76 and has
since been produced around the world. He's the author of five books,
including A Hollywood Education, a collection of stories about the movie
business, The Last Days of Alfred Hitchcock, a memoir of his experience
writing a script for the great director, and One of Us, a novel of Egypt and
England. He has written several movies, including Street Smart, part of which
was shot on Eighth Avenue, very near the Lark Theatre. His articles and
reviews have appeared in many newspapers and magazines including The New York
Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the New Yorker. |
