Anita hosts a popular TV cooking show verging on exploiting her East Indian ethnicity and culture that she has distanced herself from. Her estranged sister, Tara, runs their parents’ no-frills neighborhood Indian take-out. Lorna supports her family through her old fashioned cake-shop.
