Joe Petrilla
 

Short:
Joe Petrilla most recently played Hamlet in the grand-ballroom of New York City’s Webster Hall. He has performed at the Cell, Metropolitan Playhouse, Ensemble Studio Theater, Galapagos Art Space, and as part of the Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab. He co-starred in the film The House is Burning, a debut at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, playing opposite Oscar-winner Melissa Leo. His award-winning short film, The Line, is currently touring the festival circuit. Many thanks to Tara, family, and friends.

Long:
Joe Petrilla was most recently seen performing the title role of Hamlet in the grand-ballroom of New York City’s landmark music venue, Webster Hall. Other New York theater credits include: Cedar City Falls, the recent theatrical crseation from Sex and the City writer Liz Tuccillo; The Green Zone, part of the 2007 Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab; Billy Budd, at the Metropolitan Playhouse; and The Kalamity of Kat-Kat and Willy, with the Babel Theatre Project. He co-starred in the film The House is Burning, a debut at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, playing opposite Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo. Other film credits include: Superheroes, from writer/director Alan Brown; The Passion of Miss Augusta; as well as several short films. The Line, a short film that Joe wrote and directed, is currently touring the festival circuit and has played at fifteen festivals around the country. The film was honored to receive the award for best short-short at the Festivus Film Festival in Denver, Colorado this past winter. More info about the film can be found at www.thelineshortfilm.com.
