Sunkrish Bala

Sunkrish Bala is a star of MTV's upcoming comedy series "I Just Want My Pants Back," slated to premiere in January 2012. Born in India, but raised in California, Bala began his career as an actor in high school. Realizing that his ethnicity was a limiting factor in the casting process, Bala along with other Bay Area South Asians created a non-profit theater company dedicated to finding and developing theatrical work with a South Asian perspective.

A graduate of UCLA's School of Theater, Bala started working on his television career while still attending college. He quickly garnered memorable guest starring roles on hit shows such as GREY'S ANATOMY, MY NAME IS EARL, CSI:NY, BONES, LIE TO ME, HARRY'S LAW, and WILL & GRACE.

Sunkrish can currently also be seen in several episodes of MTV's freshman comedy AWKWARD.

Previously, for two seasons, Bala starred in the ABC primetime comedy, NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY about a group of friends who are experiencing the adventures of parenthood for the first time.

Sunkrish recently wrapped production on ANOTHER HARVEST MOON, opposite Academy Award winner Ernest Borgnine. With screen legends Doris Roberts, Anne Meara, and Piper Laurie, the film follows the residents and staff of a convalescent home in central Pennsylvania. The film is due for release in 2011. When Sunkrish isn't looking for pants, he lives in Los Angeles.
