CELEBRATED LONDON BASED
CHEF ANJUM ANAND
VISITS U.S. TO SHARE
SECRETS OF HEALTHY INDIAN RECIPES
Sponsered by the Indo-American
Arts Council Inc
She's worked at the trend-setting Café Spice
in New York and for Tommy Tang at the Mondrian hotel in Los Angeles;
she has also appeared on the Food Channel's "Good Food Live
Show." Now, Anjum Anand, author of
INDIAN EVERY DAY: LIGHT, HEALTHY INDIAN FOOD (Trafalgar
Square, $27.50 hardcover) will be in the US the week of April
19th to discuss her enlivened approach to Indian cuisine, fusing
all the appeal of savory traditional ingredients with healthy
contemporary recipes.
Anjum's given the Indian food we love a bright new taste - fresher,
healthier, simpler. Using the traditional ingredients and the
fragrant spices, she turns them into light, balanced dishes that
sing with the home-style flavors she adores. With everyone thinking
low-carb, with warmer weather and lighter clothing just around
the corner, the emphasis is on everything healthy.
The book launch will be held on Monday, April 19th, from
7 - 9 PM, at the Sundaram Tagore Gallery, 137 Greene
Street, New York City. Sponsored by the Indo-American Arts Council,
the evening will include cocktails, music, meet the chef-author,
and book-signings. All media is welcome to attend, interview,
tape. RSVP:
