EVENTS ORGANIZED
British Midland Airways- Design, direction and execution of the launch of this airline in India.
Aditya Birla Group of Companies - Design and direction of a part of the Aditya Birla group of companies’ event at the Jamshed Bhabha Auditorium, Mumbai.
Hope for the Future – Conceptualized and organized a special event – Hope for the future, with mega film and television stars – Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher, Rakshanda Khan, Perizad Zorabian, Poonam Dhillon, Ashmit Patel and Madhoo.
Silence to Sound Movement - Conceptualized and designed the entire Silence to Sound Movement in collaboration with Dr. M. Kirtane. This event was hosted at the Hilton Towers to raise funds for cochlear implants with celebrities like Juhi Chawla, Asha Bhonsle, Vinod Khanna, Suneil Shetty, Neha Dhupia, Aftab Shivdasani, Ashmit Patel, Madhoo, Mandira Bedi and Rakshanda Khan.
PRODUCTION AND DIRECTION OFCHILDREN’S PLAYS
Apart from Adult theatre, shehas directed and produced several successful children’s plays. To mention a few- ‘Aladdin’, ‘Aladdin Extravaganza’, ‘Alibaba & Bablu the Bear’, ‘The Magic of Christmas’, ‘Oliver!’, a family entertainer with a cast of 50 children and 20 adults. ‘It’s Showtime Folk’s’ The Ramayan revisited - the music.. the magic.. the myth, ‘Hungama Bollywood Ishtyle’, filmi, very filmi. All her plays have a huge cast of children, drawn from the children she trains at her workshops. FREEDOM by the children, for the children of the children, a huge production with 350 children from 5 different NGO’s and the Ace Academy.
WORKSHOPS
For the past 16 years she has been conducting workshops for children at centers all over Mumbai. The courses offered are ‘The Little Actors Club’, ‘Speech & Drama’ & ‘Personality Plus’, ‘Only Speech’, ‘Music & Movement’, ‘Crafty Art’, ‘Fitness Fun’, ‘Jumpin’, ‘Hip Hop’, ‘Active Fun’ & ‘Art Story’.
She is currently running her Speech & Drama workshops - at 20 centersall over Mumbai, which are Fort, Colaba, Breach Candy, Worli, Byculla, Matunga, Chembur, Ghatkopar Wadala, Khar, Andheri, Juhu, Goregaon, Malad & Kandivli.
These workshops have been a great success in emphasizing and enhancing the child’s confidence levels and imagination skills.
TRAINING SESSIONS FOR TEACHERS
She holds training sessions for schoolteachers and social workers on how to use drama as an effective tool of communication for teaching subjects, thereby making the curriculum more interesting.
ACE TALENT ACADEMY conductsspecial workshops for children, which would give them an opportunity to explore their talents and give them a platform in films, advertisements, theatre and events.
CREATE FOUNDATION
Started CREATE Foundation (Children’s Research in Education Arts & Theatre Endowment) in loving memory of Pearl Padamsee as a public charitable trust on 8 th April 2002.The trust aims to devise a revolutionary system of education by using the creative arts (drama, music, dance and allied arts) to complement the existing curriculum followed by primary sections of ICSE and SSC schools, especially for under privileged and special children.
HER MISSION
The basis of her work with children is to provide a forum where they can discover and express themselves creatively and freely as individuals. Only then can they go on and make a difference in whatever avenue they pursue as adults. “Attitudinal change can be brought about by educating our children effectively.”
THE EDGE ACADEMY (CORPORATE GROOMING)
Shehas designed and executed a wide range of mega events. During her interaction with corporate management, a need was expressed for corporate modules which focus on enhancing the professional corporate image of the companies. And hence, The Edge Academy was born.
A recipient of the Social Activist Award by the Giants International Federation, the Zee Asthitva Award and the Rotary International Award, Raëll was recently conferred with the award for Women Achievers, 2008-09.
