Presented by the Indo-American Arts Council and Misha Nicole...
The Paramount Hotel recently hosted Global Runway’s Night Out, a fashion show presented by the Indo-American Arts Council and Misha Nicole, which featured designs from Naeem Khan, Amrita Singh, Padma Lakshimi, Payal Singhal, Skekhar Rahate, Stephanie Singh, White and Warren, Sachin and Babi, and Babita Malkani. Fern Mallis, Babita Malkani, Amrita Singh, Shekhar Rahate, Susan White, and Stephanie Singh were among those that attended the charitable event. For those interested in checking out some of the designs, starting Friday, April 16th for 24 hours you can get a sneak peak at Misha Nicole’s international retail concept at the Paramount Hotel’s Library Bar.
The retail concept will serve as a preview of what’s in store for the brand when Nicole opens her Soho retail space in the fall in New York City. The boutique will be dedicated to showcasing international designers - all the brands that the company will be stocking already have strong brand recognition internationally, but have no representation in the U.S.
I love this concept, and if there’s one thing that Fashion Week’s around the world have shown us, it's that although there is a wealth of style all around the globe, access is still limited. Misha Nicole seems like a promising vehicle for us to stock up on emerging global brands that we would otherwise not see here in the States.
Among the brands you can expect to see featured in the pop-up shop are Babita Malkani, Payal Singhal, and Namrata Joshipura – all first timers to the U.S. market
