PAUL
KNOX (Writer, Director) most recently directed his
GEHRI DOSTI: 5 Short Plays With a South Asian Bent at Harvard
University. His play, INFORMED CONSENT,
directed by Keith Greer, was part of the Circle East FIRST
LIGHT Festival this past summer. His plays have also
been seen in the Circle Repertory Company Lab, the Neighborhood
Playhouse, the 42nd Street Workshop, NYSSSA,
with Desipina at the Tenement Museum, Columbia University Dramatists,
SAATh (the South Asian-American
Theater of Boston) at Wellesley College, and other locals as
far as Cape Town. Paul is a CO-recipient of the UN Society of
Writers' Award for his exchange work with the Russian Academy
of Theater Arts (GITIS) in Moscow.
He is a cofounder and Trustee of the Tides Foundation - India
Fund, which supports grassroots education and community building
efforts among sexually marginalized groups in South Asia.
