Bernard White as Anant Singh

Veteran actor Bernard White was most recently seen in box office record-breaker The Matrix Reloaded, and will reprise his role of Rama-Kandra in The Matrix Revolutions. This year, White also had the opportunity to show off his comedic skills in Gary Marshall’s film Raising Hellen.

White, always a familiar face has recurred on some of television’s hottest series lately: 24, West Wing, JAG and Alias. An acclaimed stage actor, White played the title role in Joseph Papp’s The Death of Garcia Lorca, at The Public in New York City. He starred in Dogeaters at The La Jolla Playhouse, The Perfect Gaanesh at The Odyssey, and Queen of the Remote Control at East-West Players.

White, founded Plymouth, an experimental theater company in Los Angeles, and is an Artistic Associate of Cornerstone Theatre.

White, an American, of Sri Lankan descent, was raised in Detroit, and graduated with a B.A. in Theater from Michigan State. He is very happily married to French actress Nathalie Canessa-White; they make their home in Los Angeles.

Kalpen Modi as Jagdesh Singh

Kalpen is currently tackling his first lead as ‘Kumar’ in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Presently, he can be seen in Malibu’s Most Wanted, opposite Jamie Kennedy. He will forever be remembered for his hilarious role as “Taj” opposite Ryan Reynolds and Tara Reid in the comedy National Lampoon’s Van Wilder.

Kalpen was born and raised in New Jersey, which allowed him to train extensively in theatre all over the New York metropolitan area. His most memorable experiences include working with the George Street Playhouse, The Atlantic Theatre Company, The New Jersey Governor’s School of the Arts and Rutger’s University’s Summer Arts Institute.

When he graduated from the Freehold Regional High School District’s Performing Arts High School he was accepted in to the prestigious School of Theater, Film and Television at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his time at UCLA, Kalpen continued to build his work in film and television both in and outside of the classroom.

Sakina Jaffrey as Nageena Singh

Sakina Jaffrey was born in New York City. As a child, she danced with the Joffrey Ballet at City Center. She made her acting debut in high school performing in Wallace Shawn's Marie and Bruce at the Public Theatre. She has performed at numerous theaters in NYC and regionally including EST, where she is a member, CSC, Lincoln Center, The Apollo, The Actor's Theatre of Louisville and The George Street Playhouse. Among her favorite roles are Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, which she performed at the Williamstown Theater Festival, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland, performed at the Kennedy Center.

Her film credits include Masala, Slaves of New York, The Perfect Murder, Daylight, The Indian in The Cupboard, Chutney Popcorn, Cotton Mary, The Mystic Masseur, The Truth About Charlie, and Revolution # 9. She will appear next year Garry Marshall's Raising Helen.

Sakina is currently working on several projects, including I'm Melting, a comedic one-woman show about immigrant women who bubble up from the murky depths of the American melting pot.

Te’Amir Yohannes Sweeney as Ranjit Singh

Te’Amir is student at Hamilton High Music Academy in Los Angeles. He is a musician, photographer and actor. Te’Amir has been playing music all his life and traveling with the Venice Dream Team youth group as a photojournalist. Since age six, he has traveled over 100,000 miles all over the world taking pictures and playing music. The photographs taken on trips are published in calendars and exhibitions.

Te’Amir has been seen in numerous commercials, music videos, theatre and film. Currently he is part of a percussion group consisting of friends from Hamilton Music Academy. They play several different styles and traditions, mainly Afro-Brazilian as well as African and Afro-Cuban. They have performed all over Los Angeles for festivals, private parties and anything else that needs some energy. Te’Amir hopes to continue traveling and participating in creative projects.
