Pakistani playwright Shahid Nadeem's
work reflects his enormous social concience. He has written over 40
stage plays and eight TV serials on human rights issues - peace, women's
rights, religioius tolerance, environment, family planning, censorship
in Pakistani media, governance, honour killings. Mujahid is Mr. Nadeem's
film debut.
In the current climate of detente between
India and Pakistan, the Indo-American Arts Council is delighted to present
and discuss Shahid's work to further bridge the divide between our two

The Indo-American Arts Council is a registered not-for-profit
arts council passionately dedicated to promoting and building an awareness
of Indian artists and artistic disciplines in North America. We work coperatively
with our colleagues around the United States as well as from India to
broaden our collective audiences and to create a network for shared information,
