Eighth Annual MIAAC Film Festival of Indian Independent and Diaspora Films : November 5-9, 2008.

- The Eighth Annual MIAAC Film Festival will be held November 5-9, 2008.
- November 5 at 6 pm: Opening Night Gala Red Carpet Screening and post-screening discussion will be followed by a Gala Benefit Dinner at which there will be a live auction and live fashion show.
- November 6-9: All festival screenings will be followed by post-screening discussions with the filmmakers & cast, moderated by an Industry specialist. The discussion will then be opened to the audience for a Q&A.
- November 9 at 6 pm: Closing Night Gala Red Carpet Screening and post-screening discussion will be followed by an Award Ceremony where 7 major awards will be presented by donors and celebrities to the Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Documentary, Best Short. A Gala Closing Night party with cocktails and music will follow.
- November 6, 9 am – 5 pm: IFP will conduct panel discussions for MIAAC Film Festival participants at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
- November 7, 9 am – 5 pm: NYWIFT will conduct panel discussions for MIAAC Film Festival participants at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
- Media, distributors, festival scouts, investors and other industry experts are invited to meet MIAAC Film Festival participants throughout the festival and at all screenings.

- KPMG (Accounting Firm) will monitor and hold all Award decisions from the Jurors until they are presented on stage at the Closing Night to ensure the ethics and confidentiality of the Awards.
