Rujuta Vaidya who has worked in the Bollywood industry for the past 10 years as a professional dance choreographer has recently made her move to mainstream Hollywood. She has choreographed for many artists and projects including the "Jai Ho" Slumdog Millionaire performance at the Oscars for AR Rahman and John Legend, the Britney Spear 2009 "Circus" Tour, Oprah Winfrey's Oscar special, the E! Network "Morning Show", the Black Eyed Peas 2010 tour, Subway commercial and currently the AR Rahman "The Journey Home" 2010 World Tour. Rujuta is the first Indian from the US to ever choreograph for an Indian tour. She is also one of the first Indians to ever do choreography for Disney, during The Cheetah Girls "One World" movie. Rujuta who is Saroj Khan's(Bollywoods legendary choreographer) only disciple here in the US, currently shuttles back and forth between NY,LA and Mumbai choreographing for both Hollywood and Bollywood productions.
The dancers name is Sumona Chadda.
Sumona will be dancing to "Dil Cheez Kya Hai" from Umrao Jaan and "In Aankhon Ki Masti" from Pakeezah.
