The villagers believe the Rain Gods will favor them after the annual Thiruvizha, during which the deity is taken around the village on a wooden horse. They are in for a rude shock when the horse goesmissing. At the sametime, Azhagarsami, a youngster who earns his livelihood by ferrying loads on his horse, gets ready for his marriage. His horse also goes missing, and his marriage is put on hold. Do the villagers and Azhagarsami find their respective horses? The movie won the 2 National Awards in 2012- Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Supporting Actor.

Director's Bio- Suseenthiran, who originally hails from a small village in Pazhani,was always "crazy about films" like his father and his uncle, who had made a film years ago, that never got released.Though his family did not want him to become a director and "waste" his life on films, he was sure that he would be a filmmaker one day. To achieve his dream, he came to Chennai, when he was 18 years old and needed 12 years to make his first film. Susindran rose to fame in 2009 with his directorial debut Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. Azhagarswamy's Horse is his third film.

The newly reconciled two brothers, Kaniki and Pembe, are travelling to Tanga for a new employment. What befalls to them after the bus they are travelling in got broken and the two brothers go into a nearby village in search of food proves that they are still too different for one another.

James Gayo, born in 1962 in Tanzania, is well known for his popular kingo cartoon strip that appears in several dailies in Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia. James turned a full time cartoonist/comic artist immediately after his secondary school.
 
In 1995 James, together with other artist he started kingo comic magazine, in which he was the editor and the scriptwriter. The magazine was popular for humour and political satires.
 
Writing and making storyboards for the magazine deepened his desire for writing scripts for screen. In 2004 he joined a group of scriptwriters for a local sit-com wandani. In the same year he took part in writing the script for Tumaini, a film by Abantu Vision, which won the SIGN and UNICEF awards at Zanzibar film festival.

In 2006 his script was selected and enabled him to participate in the Maisha Screenwriters Lab (An initiative founded by the acclaimed Director Mira Nair) In 2007 James Gayo was selected again for the Maisha Directors Lab.

Under Maisha mentorship, James Gayo continues to write shorts and feature screenplays. So far, James Gayo has directed two of his shorts, The Trip and The Retirement Day.
