Director: Tanuja Chandra
Tanuja graduated in film direction & writing from
Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. She trained with Mahesh Bhat.
She has directed television shows Zameen Aasman and Mirch Masala for
Doordarshan. Full length films include Dushman for Pooja Bhatt Productions,
Sangharsh for Vishesh Films Pvt.Ltd. and Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar for Vishesh
Entertainment Ltd.
She has written the scripts for Dil To Pagal Hai for Yash Raj Productions
and Tumko Meri Kasam for Vishesh Entertainment ltd. Tamanna, for which
she wrote the script won the National Award for best film in the social
category and the screen play for Zakhm won the Nargis Dutt Award for
National Integration. Both were made for Pooja Bhat productions.
Currently, Tanuja is involved in pre-production for a new feature, Vaasta,
for Vishesh Entertainment Ltd and Sahara Television, starring Juhi Chawla.
Tanuja is also an active contributor to the print media.
