Statement
This image is part of a large body of work titled "Architectural Blue - Cyanotypes of
india and Germany" which was exhibited at the Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan in November 2010.
The was an additional exhibition held at the Government Museum and Art Space in Chandigarh, India.
Both were financially supported by the Goethe Institut in India and included a 36-page catalogue with
the same title. These exhibitions were conceived by Elizabeth Rogers who also curated both exhibitions
and designed/edited the catalogue. All images were taken digitally, then turned into digital negatives from
the raw captures and hand printed using the cyanotype printing process by Robert A. Schaefer, Jr. Besides
the exhibitions, Robert Schaefer also gave lectures on this work in both cities as well as facilitated several
cyanotype workshops in such locations as the School of Architecture in Chandigarh and the Goethe Institut/
Max Mueller Bhavan in Delhi
