IAAC Service to Artists
The Indo-American Arts Council is passionately dedicated to promoting, showcasing and building awareness and a market for Indian artists in North America. We work to educate the greater South Asian population about their own artists both from India as well as living in the Indian diaspora. The artists in the Erasing Borders exhibition are all of Indian-Americans – living and working in the United States. We dedicate ourselves to giving every participating artist invaluable in-kind payments via:
|
- Opportunity to be represented by the galleries/museums in which they are exhibited (to date 6 artists from our show have already been invited to be represented by the galleries scheduled on our EB exhibitions)
- 100% of the monies received from the sale of their artwork
- Visibility in the media, among galleries/museums, the general public (thru exhibition of their work, thru printed catalogues, thru articles and TV interviews, on our website, by putting their contact information online and in the catalogue so they can be contacted directly)
- 5 catalogues and 10 postcards of the current EB show in which they are featured
- Insurance of their artwork
- Organizing and paying for transporting their work to every exhibiting venue
- Giving/sending them copies of all media coverage
- Uploading photographs and media coverage of the exhibitions, the Opening receptions, the artists, the artwork on our Website
- Giving them the opportunity to participate in Panel discussions
- Including them on the IAAC mailing list
- Informing them of all other relevant shows, competitions, exhibitions, spaces that may interest them or promote their work
