Jay Dittamo has worked in music for the past forty years, work that has gone from sessions to concert halls around the world. For the past sixteen years Jay has preented a music duo called Sonic Boom hat plays around the New York metropolitan area educating school children about the world of computers and music. Jay has worked with Chuck Berry, The Drifters, The Dupree's, Rick Derringer, Latin Super Stars Willie Colon (Willlies Grammy Nominated "Top Secret" LP) and Mark Anthony. Also with C&C Music Factory, Yoko Ono, Jimmy Vivino, Will Lee,Bunny Burnell, and Movie and T.V. sound tracks.
In 1994 after the untimely death of Frank Zappa (one of Jays Musical hero's) some of Frank Zappa's elite musicians Tommy Mars, Ike Willis, Ed Mann, Bruce & Tom Fowler, Arthur Barrow and Robert Martin were assembled for a tribut. Jay was asked to join this band as a tribute to the music of Frank Zappa; they toured Germany and reacorded a live CD.
Jay has also worked with jazz guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli and co-produced Bucky's last two CD's. Jay is currently recording and performing with Junoon, Pakistan and East Asia's top rock band. Junoon is the first rock band to pl,ay in Assembly Hall at the United Nations and appeared in a VH-1 special, Islamabad Rock City. Jay has been performing with Junoon around the world bringing their music and message of peace and love wherever they play.
