Shubha Mudgal, Padmashri awarded, world famous Hindustani vocalist, is a recipient of Special achievement award at Chicago International Film festival. A versatile artist, her music ranges from classical, khayal, thumri, dadra to pop.
Her repertoire ranges from mystic and sufi poetry which includes rarely heard texts of Vaishnava pushti-marg poets, Nirguna poets like Kabir, Meera, Tulsi, Amir Khusru, Namdev, Sanskrit chants.

Bombay Jayashri, Oscar nominated for the haunting "Pi's Lullaby" in the movie Life of Pi, is among the world-renowned new generation musicians from India. Rooted strongly in traditional Carnatic music, her penchant for creativity has helped her explore new genres of world music and bring Carnatic music closer to the western world.
