Orgs select lineup for Playwrights Week Weeklong run at Lark set for Sept. 30
By GORDON COX

The Lark Play Development Center and the Indo-American Arts Council have selected the lineup for the 16th annual Playwrights Week Fest.

Selected scribes, including Bekah Brunstetter (soon to make her Off Broadway debut with “Oohrah!”), will have a weeklong residency at the Lark that finishes up with public readings running Sept. 30-Oct. 4.

Brunstetter will workshop her play “Miss Lily Gets Boned.” Other scribes developing works in the fest are Chad Beckim, Jennifer Fawcett, Laurel Haines, Ethan Lipton, Natalia Naman, Jen Silverman and Stephanie Timm.

Recent works developed at the Lark include Tracey Scott Wilson’s “The Good Negro,” Rajiv Joseph’s “Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo” and Katori Hall’s “The Mountaintop,” all of which have gone on to future life in Gotham, L.A. or London.
