The Lark Play Development Center and the Indo-American Arts Council have announced selections for Playwrights' Week 2009, during which eight playwrights will spend a weeklong residency at the Lark developing their work with professional actors, a director, and Lark staff, and then present that work in a public reading. The Festival will run September 30-October 4.
This year's selections include Chad Beckim's That Men Do, Bekah Brunstetter's Miss Lily Gets Boned, Jennifer Fawcett's The Atlas of Mud, Laurel Haines' Future Anxiety, Ethan Lipton's Luther, Natalia Naman's The Old Ship of Zion, Jen Silverman's Nila, and Stephanie Timm's Sweet Nothing: A Grim (Fairy) Tale.
