Please join Aroon Shivdasani of the IAAC, composer Shirish Korde, flutist Patricia Spencer of the Da Capo Chamber Players and choreographer/dancer Nandini Sikand for a discussion with video and live performance excerpts from the work which premieres in New York and Toronto in 2014. Phoolan Devi - The Bandit Queen depicts real, re-imagined and often contradictory events in the life of Phoolan Devi, a woman revered by some and reviled by others in contemporary Indian society.
