Rajat Kapoor Before graduating from the Film & Television Institute Of India, Kapoor had started his theatre career with a Delhi based group Chingari in 1983. He presently explores theatre and film with equal gumption in the capacity of an actor, writer, and director. Three times National Award Winner, Kapoor has also produced films. His latest film Mithya had his protagonist bordered on the character of Hamlet. |

Atul Kumar
Kumar decided to take up theatre as a profession at a very early age. Today, he works as an actor and director and runs his own theatre company - The Company Theatre. Presently he is involved in setting up an International Theatre Residency for rigorous training and research in the field of theatre in a hamlet of Maharashtra. Kumar has been trained in the traditional art-forms of Kathakali and Kalerippayattu. He has also worked with Philip Genty in Paris and the Royal Court Theatre, London. |

Puja Sarup
Sarup started off by studying theatre from Bombay University. Uptil now she has worked with various theatre companies and directors from all over the world. These include Footsbarn, The Company Theatre, Cinematograph and Arpana. Puja is constantly searching for opportunities to challenge her own skills and art form by engaging in constant riyaaz and conducting theatre workshops. She also works with children and is being trained into Indian Folk Music. Her goal is to continue exploring theatre and most of all, enjoying it. |

Neil Bhoopalam
After a long stint as a VJ with Channel V, Bhoopalam moved on to take acting as a full time profession. He had been practicing theatre since college and by now, has worked with various different directors over many productions, his recent being ‘One On One’ with Rage. Bhoopalam has also explored his acting skills in the area of cinema and has played important roles in Rajkumar Gupta’s ‘No One Killed Jessica’ as well as Rajat Kapoor’s ‘A Rectangular Love Story’. |

Namit Das
Das began as a classical singer and found his way to stage acting in school and college. Since then he has worked on Mumbai stage with directors like Atul Kumar, Imogen Butler-Cole, Nadir Khan, Chandan Roy Sanyal & Yuki Ellias. He has also explored himself as an actor in the film medium with films like ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Lafangey Parindey’ and ‘The President Is Coming’. Playing a myriad of roles in diverse plays and theatre forms, Das has shown an amazing repertory of techniques and a rigour that he brings to each role he undertakes. |

Sujay Saple
Saple is an independent actor, director and lighting designer who has been working with The Company Theatre for the past 9 years. He has acted in plays like Voices, Noises Off and The Con Artist and co-directed Smell with Atul Kumar for the Writers’ Block Festival 2004. He conducts theatre workshops for youngsters and professionals all over India and abroad. Besides The Company Theatre, Saple has also worked as a freelancer with other theatre companies, choreographers and independent theatre-makers. He is an integral part of the International Residency for Theatre Research & Performance being set up in Maharashtra. |

Kalki Koechlin
Koechlin studied drama and theatre in Goldsmiths, University of London, where she also worked with a theatre company called Theatre of Relativity for two years. She performed in various plays like David Hare’s The Blue Room, Marivaux’s The Dispute and a devised play The Rise of the Wild Hunt in her two year stint with the theatre group. She then moved to Mumbai to begin working in theatre and film. She made her debut in films with Anurag Kashyap’s Dev –D for which she won the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actress. Koechlin has won The Hindu Metro Plus Playwright Award 2009 along with co-writer Prashant Prakash for their play ‘Skeleton Woman’ that has been recently published by Penguin.

Rachel D’Souza
D’Souza graduated in English Literature from the Bombay University and is presently training at the London International School for Performing Arts (LISPA). She has been an integral part of The Company Theatre over the past seven years and has also been instrumental in setting up the International Residency for Theatre Research & Performance along with Atul Kumar. Apart from this, she also works as a writer and scenographer and frequently contributes to theatre newsletters. |
