Cancer Patients Aid Association, Inc., (CPAA, Inc), is a registered not- for- profit organization in USA, which is tax exempt under 501(c)(3). CPAA, Inc. is committed to supporting organizations in developing countries that are actively involved in spreading awareness about cancer, motivating and organizing detection camps for cancer control, counseling and palliative care of patients, and, rehabilitation of cured patients.
CPAA, Inc in association with Indo American Arts Council (IAAC) is proud to present CPAA's first mega fund raising event in New York - "Kaifi Aur Main" on 3rd December, 2006 at The Lincoln center -Alice Tully Hall.
"Kaifi Aur Main"- is a musical/theatrical performance with Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and singer Jaswinder Singh with live orchestra.
This presentation traces the life and poetry, film songs of Kaifi Azmi. Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar in their inimitable style take us through a very personal journey and share moments that should be cherished for many a lifetime.
Kaifi Azmi's ghazals and evergreen film songs are sung by Jaswinder Singh in his mesmerizing voice. |
