Renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s latest release trilingual film ‘Raavanan’ failed to amuse the viewers in India but it has received accolades at various film festivals.
Now, the film is going to be screened at the 10th Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council (MIAAC) Film Festival, which will be held from November 10 to 14.
Raavanan starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai and Prithviraj in the lead roles, will be screened on November 13 at SVA Silas Theatre at 6:30 pm. The film also stars Karthik, Prabhu and Priyamani in other important roles. It will run for 135 minutes.
Academy award winning music maestro A R Rahman has scored the music for the film, which was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
In the Hindi version of the film, Abhishek Bachchan played the male lead role. The film was much discussed in media much before its release but failed to run for a long time following the release.
The story of the film has been written by Mani Ratnam and his wife Suhasini. It has been distributed by BIG Pictures, Sony Pictures and Ayngaran International. A.Sreekar Prasad has done the editing and the cinematography has been handled by Santosh Sivan and V. Manikandan.
