Synopsis:
The feature film version of the winner of MIAAC 2008’s Best Short Film Award is a gritty, funny composite portrait of Mumbai from the Detroit and Mumbai based director-duo. Inspired from various daily newspaper stories Noise revolves around three stories set during the popular and chaotic festival of Ganesha, the Elephant-God, in Mumbai. An expatriate returns home to an unwelcoming city. A bootlegger of bestsellers and his buddies find a bag of explosives. And a young cricketer must find the money to paying the price to get into a cricket team.
Directors Raj Nidimoru & Krishna DK:
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are award-winning filmmakers who write, direct, and produce films together, along with their creative partner, Sita Menon. Their first feature, Flavors, is a cult favorite, especially amongst Indians living outside their country. Their first Hindi feature, 99, was number one at the Indian box office for four weeks in a row in 2009 and was featured in a number of Top 10 lists that year. Their latest film, Shor, is a unique satirical crime drama.
