This year, the focus of the film festival is to bring the Indian filmmakers in the forefront of the global cinema. Some of the finest projects of the Indian film industry are going to be screened at this upcoming Film Festival.

‘Autograph’ is a Bengali movie which is all set to have its screening at the MIAAC Film Festival. Directed by debutante Srijit Mukherjee, this movie delves deep into the psyche of a superstar in the Bengali film industry.

There are quite a few regional movies that will be screened at the MIAAC Film Festival this year.  ‘Memories in March’ directed by Sanjoy Nag is one of the most highly anticipated flicks from the Bengali film industry.

The plot of the movie revolves around Siddharth, a 28-year-old man, who dies in an accident and his mother comes to Kolkata to collect his belongings.  While looking through Siddharth’s personal items, his mother gets a glimpse of his life in Kolkata.  The bereaved woman discovers unknown facts about her son’s life.

The mother finally comes out of her shell and shares her grief with Siddharth’s friends and colleagues who were very close to him.  The screenplay of this movie has been finely written by renowned director Rituporno Ghosh.
