Recent reports suggest that the celebrated Indian filmmaker Mira Nair is likely to shoot his next film in Pakistan. Mira Nair is making a film about the second novel by famous Pakistani novelist Mohsin Hamid “The reluctant fundamentalist”, and she wants to cry some of the key scenes of the film in Pakistan.
Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor will star in the upcoming movie and is expected to fly to Pakistan for this purpose. While Mira Nair has not officially signed Shahid Kapoor for the project, according to the grapevine, Shahid is very excited after reading the script. Apparently, Shahid is very excited to work with the film received high praise in the United States. Mohsin shot to fame with her first novel “Moth Smoke” in 2000. “The reluctant fundamentalist” was published in 2007 and became an instant success.
The latest film by Mira Nair’s “Amelia” was released in 2009 and took up the life and deeds of famous aviator Amelia Earhart, who became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic. Mira’s last film was well accepted in the 9 th MIAAC Film Festival. The director is likely to make an appearance on MIAAC Film Festival 2010 as well.

The MIAAC Film festival seeks to provide a platform for talented Indian filmmakers to present their projects to an international audience.
