The film is directed by Srijit Mukherjee, who has a rich experience in Bengali and English stage theaters. As per the director, he has tried to pay tribute to legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s movie Nayak starring Uttam Kumar and Sharmila Tagore.

The movie has been produced by Mahendra Soni and Shrikant Mohta of Shree Venkatesh Films. Apart from Prosenjit, the movie also stars actress Nandana Sen and actor Indraneil Sengupta. The story of the movie revolves around three people, one of whom is a young aspirant director, who wants to make Nayak. The two other characters are of a theaters actress and a superstar. The film depicts how their life changes when they come together while making a movie.

The film also stars actors, Rudra Prasad Sengupta and Piyush Ganguly in important roles. Bodhaditya Banerjee has done the editing of the film. Debojyoti Mishra and Anupam Roy have composed the music of Autogrpah, which has lyrics by Srijato, Anupam Roy and Srijit Mukherjee. The director has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the movie.
