thedailyhoney.com Ekta Kapoor, Tushaar Kapoor & Sendhil Ramamurthy At The Shor’s Opening Night: MIAAC ’10 November 12, 2010
It was a big night for Balaji films as their Shorr was chosen to open the Mahindra-Indo American Arts Council Film Festival (MIAAC) on Wednesday night.
In attandence and looking dapper in suits was the cast & crew including Tushar Kapoor, Sendhil Ramamurthy and director duo Raj Nidimoru & Krishna DK. The head of Balaji, Ekta Kapoor was looking quite lovely ankles up in a black salwar kameez with a heavy embroidery printed dupatta accessorized with a camel coloured Hermes mini-Birkin. However, we were not impressed by EK’s icky footwear–peeptoes or a simple pair of black pumps would’ve been adequate.
The main focus of the night was Shorr which is inspired from various daily news articles which revolves around three stories set during the popular and chaotic festival of Ganesha, the Elephant-God, in Mumbai including an expatriate returning home, a bootlegger of bestsellers (who noticed the Paulo Coelho books??!) who discovers a bag of explosives and an aspiring young cricketer who needs money to finance the application of a cricket team.
