It seems like head honcho of Balaji Telefilms Ekta Kapoor and Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar cannot see eye-to-eye.

Rumors of this possible altercation between the two started recently when they boarded a same flight from Mumbai to reach their destination New York in order to attend MIAAC Film Festival.

Ekta was going to NY for the red carpet and screening event of her upcoming ‘Shorr', while Prateik along with his aunt was going to attend the showcasing of his mother, Smita Patil’s work at the fest.

As per eyewitnesses, Ekta and Prateik, who have never been introduced to each other formerly before, knew about each other’s presence at the airport even before boarding the flight.

They even met in the first class lounge of the airport, however, neither one made any attempt to even pass a simple smile.

The whole thing seemed highly rude on Prateik’s part as he’s still has to go a long way in the industry and as a newcomer he could have taken the initiative to start talks with the soap queen.

Cold vibes even on plane
Apparently, despite being seated just couple of rows apart from each other on plane, neither one attempted to offer olive branch to the other.

As per an eyewitness, Prateik frequently marched up and down the aisle but did not acknowledged Ekta’s presence even once. Every time he went past Ekta’s seat, he pointedly ignored her.

Apparently, Ekta was not much behind, when it came to looking through the actor.

"Ekta was equally cold and arrogant with him. Each time he looked in her direction, she pointedly looked out of the window,” as per an eyewitness.

Aunty to rescue
While Prateik was busy creating trouble, his aunt, on the other hand, tried to salvage the situation by taking the initiative to talk to Ekta.

"During the flight home, she came up to Ekta and after greeting her warmly, chatted with her for a few minutes,” as per an eye-witness.

Meanwhile, no one seems to know the exact reason behind duo’s animosity towards each other as Raj Babbar (Prateik’s father) and Kapoor family are known to be on good terms.
