When Pettaikaran, the emperor of the murky underworld of rooster fights in southern Indian territory of Tamil Nadu for 40 years, is challenged and proved wrong by his disciple Black, he decides to avenge the insult. Black's small world is shattered. When he comes to know about the betrayal he confronts Pettaikaran, he decides to do the unthinkable… Aadukalam has received rave reviews from the critics in the industry and was a big box office hit. Aadukalam, for the first time in the history of Indian National Film Awards, has won in six categories for a tamil feature film, including Best Actor and Best Screenplay.
Vetri Maaran is a Tamil film director who made is directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Polladhavan in 2007. An English literature major, an elective course on Television presentation at Loyola College in 1995 enabled him to see his natural interest towards film making. His second movie Aadukalam got him the National award for Best Director.

A Tamil woman, living with the memory of pain, goes about her daily existence as a nun in the ravaged northeast of Sri Lanka at a time when her country is slipping in and out of war. Events brought to life by the church’s servant girl and its priest move her to reconcile her past and redirect her future with a desire to live and re-learn intimacy, sexuality and freedom. As the world around her continues to be made and unmade by violence, she moves slowly to carve out a small space to breathe and to find power and meaning in her life.
Suba Sivakumaran was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, grew up in five different countries and currently resides in New York. She started her career in international development in Sri Lanka and works in the area of humanitarian aid and poverty reduction for the United Nations and other organizations. She has an undergraduate degree from the London School of Economics and a master's degree from Harvard University, both in politics and public policy. I Too Have A Name is her first film.
