 Playwright and screenwriter Anuvab Pal whose plays (Chaos Theory, The President is Coming, FATWA) and movie scripts (The Loins Of Punjab Presents, The President Is Coming) made his style of comedy critically and commercially popular across stages and screens in New York and India, has been performing as a stand up comedian for the last year or so at The Comedy Store, London and The Comedy Store, Mumbai and around the world with a one-man stand up show about the foibles of contemporary India titled The Nation Wants To Know.
The New York Times has called Anuvab Pal "India's most intelligent stand-up comic" and The BBC says he's "India's answer to PG Wodehouse." THE NATION WANTS TO KNOW which he's written and performs in, has had a 150 sold out shows around India, The Middle East and The UK. The Times of India calls The Nation Wants To Know "brilliant and spectacular. A witty, clever, satirical evening of hilarity. A stand up comedians' view of India's place in the world seems far more accurate than our politicians'".
It finally comes to New York for one night only.
