New York, March 17, 2014 - The Indo-American Arts council presents internationally renowned playwright, screenwriter, stand up comic and author – Anuvab Pal. Join us on Friday, April 4th at 6 p.m. for an evening of hilarious comedy (about contemporary India) at StandUp NY, 236 W 78th St, New York.

Dubbed by the New York Times as “India’s most intelligent stand-up comic”, Anuvab Pal has performed ‘The Nation Wants to Know’ at 150 sold out shows around India, the Middle East and the UK. The Times of India calls it "brilliant and spectacular – A witty, clever, satirical evening of hilarity.”

Anuvab Pal has been performing as a stand up comedian for the last year at The Comedy Store, London and The Comedy Store, Mumbai. He is also the critically acclaimed writer of cult comedy films like Loins Of Punjab Presents and The President Is Coming.

“Anuvab has been an intrinsic part of the IAAC family for over a decade – as a playwright, screenwriter and now a stand up comic. We are thrilled to present his intelligent, irreverent & delightful comedy to New York City”, says Indo-American Arts Council Executive Director Aroon Shivdasani.
