 Sree Sreenivasan has been named by Mayor Bill de Blasio as the next Chief Digital Officer of New York City, starting in October. He was previously the first chief digital officer of The Met and Columbia University, and was a professor of journalism for 20 years at Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism. In 2015, he was named one of Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business. Mayor de Blasio, on announcing Sree's job, tweeted that he wanted to make NYC "the most tech friendly, transparent and digitally equitable city in the world." |
