4:30 PM The panel will discuss each of the panelists' work, while maintaining a focus upon certain elements present in the exhibition this year, most notably the notions of the sacred and the profane as it exists within much of the exhibition, and further, how these complex concepts are readily conveyed through the varied use of the body within the panelists' work. The idiosyncrasies of expression that characterize each artists' work provide an entre to the concept of diversity, but this cant be boiled down to a simple dialogue about identity, rather this is the foundation for a much more complex (and hopefully engaging) discussion about the common and disparate that exists within this group of artists, oscillating from craft to concept and back again.
