INDIAN FUSION & JAZZ, features talented musicians who come together to reflect the South Asian Diaspora, combining Indian classical, folk, jazz and other modern musical forms. Isheeta Ganguly, Athul Prashar, Neil Dave & Ravi Sukhandan draw on the best of both worlds, blending the melodic and rhythmic richness of Western and Indian musical traditions.

The night will comprise of performances by Tenzin Sherpa (Vocals) with Alka Bhargava (Vocals) and Neil Dave (Tabla) with Anand Prashad (Tabla), an Intermission followed by Athul Prasher (Vocals) accompanied by Tasneem (Junglee) (Guitar), Bhuvaneshwari K. Bhagat (Vocals)

The event is presented by the Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC). The IAAC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting Indian artists in mainstream America. The Mela affords us a special opportunity to stimulate, entertain, educate and simultaneously convert a huge, young, unitiated audience to the wealth of Indian classical music.
